The CMF Obra Blanca 2025 established the national lines of inspiration that served as a standard to enrich the industry and support the development of better projects.

This forecast is the result of interpreting the conversations held over six days of workshops, involving twenty national architecture, interior design, and design firms. The process was guided by a consulting agency specialized in CMF Design and Trend Forecasting.

Using the methodology developed by Code Studio, three in-person workshops were held — in Mexico City, Monterrey, and Mérida — where teams collaboratively defined the trends that bring to life architectural and interior design concepts and needs through colors, materials, and finishes relevant to Mexico in 2025.
For Obra Blanca, interdisciplinary collaboration with experts is key to establishing national lines of inspiration that serve as a standard to enrich the industry and support the development of better projects.
As part of the Obra Blanca framework, the 2023 edition showcased the results of this in-depth research and the enriching workshops carried out over several months. These results were documented and marked the beginning of a continuous communication program focused on the evolution of the CMF. This series of printed and digital documents was complemented by exhibitions, colloquiums, reflections, and practical exercises that influenced the selection of materials and the creation of architectural and interior design projects in the following years.

Based on the CMF Obra Blanca 2025 Forecast, this year the CMF Obra Blanca 2025 Dynamics was carried out, for which another selection of architecture and interior design firms from different regions of the country was invited to participate. The aim was to review the trends — Simmer, Origin, and Retrofuture — and reflect on how they are being used in the development of new projects.
One of the main achievements of this initiative was the gathering of professionals from different generations. Building on the excellent feedback we received last year, we decided to hold three working sessions in Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Mexico City to continue promoting perpetual creativity in the selection of finishes, materials, and colors in the architecture and interior design sectors in our country.
