Architects who founded their own firms, as well as directors and CEOs of finishing and industrial companies, will share their vision on the challenges of being entrepreneurs and professionals who not only drive their sector forward, but also train new generations.
Ana Landa has an exceptional ability to transform every space into an experience that reflects the personality and needs of those who inhabit it. Founder of Línea Vertical, a firm specializing in architecture and interior design, Ana has dedicated more than 20 years to creating environments that are not only functional, but deeply human and emotional.
Her approach is both architectural and intuitive, creating each project with the same passion with which she approaches life.
Her professional career began in an unusual way. Although she graduated as an agricultural engineer specializing in parasitology from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, life has led her unexpectedly toward architecture and interior design.
Without knowing it, that childish impulse was the beginning of a vocation. Today, that girl is the director of Interior Design at Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos, one of the most influential firms in Mexico.
Fernanda studied architecture at Anáhuac University. Her path to interior design was not planned during her studies. It came about through an unexpected opportunity: a vacancy at Sordo Madaleno that, although not in architecture but in interior design, she decided to take with enthusiasm. Since then, her career has been a profound journey into what it really means to inhabit a space.
Paola Alencaster, founder of PAIR Arquitectura, has forged a solid career in architecture and interior design. Her approach has one fundamental characteristic: design must be a genuine reflection of each client’s identity.
From a young age, Paola felt a deep fascination with aesthetics, design, and the creation of spaces. Over the years, that passion led her to study architecture at Anáhuac University, where she found the perfect balance between her interests in interior design and architecture.
For more than two decades, Sandra has developed her career in Mexico, a country she chose not only to live in, but also to build a legacy in interior architecture alongside her partner and husband, Luciano Gerbilsky. From her office, Gerbilsky Wainberg, she has forged her own style that draws on dialogue with clients, exploration of materials, and sensitivity to the environment.
But her story goes far beyond plans and materials; it is also the story of a woman who has managed to balance motherhood with business leadership, creativity with innovation, and passion with discipline.
Originally from Venezuela, Sandra arrived in our country more than two decades ago and has since developed the most significant part of her career here.
Design is not just an aesthetic issue; it is a force that permeates our daily lives in ways that are as subtle as they are profound. From the moment we wake up and open the wardrobe to the moment we get behind the wheel of the car, every decision is influenced by design.
This is the premise behind Glocal Design, a magazine founded by Greta Arcila, which arose from a personal and professional need: the lack of a medium that covered design in all its facets, from architecture to industrial design, textiles, and objects.
With 27 years of experience in specialized media, Greta has filled a void in the way design was approached. Glocal Design, which was born in 2017, is now presented as a multiplatform medium, a comprehensive space where everything related to design is addressed, always with a global focus, but with a strong emphasis on the local.
